Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of admission to a two year Full Time Post Graduate Programmes in Management offered by IITs.

Since management courses in IITs is only for engineering and postgraduate science students, management courses are designed specifically for them.
Applicayion Fee:
JMET 2011 Application Form must be submitted online only. Registration fee is Rs.350 / – for SC / ST / PD candidates and Rs. 750 / – for all other applicants.
Availability of forms:
The online application form will be available in September and will be delivered by mid-October. Applicants must fill out the form with all necessary instructions in the form.
The popularity of examination:
All these institutions need JMET scores for short listing candidates who apply for its management programs. Final selection depends on each institution’s own criteria, which includes a personal interview, Group discussion, 10th, 12th and Graduation marks, work experience etc.
Pattern of the Examination:
JMET exam is 3 hours duration with 120 objective questions ranging from verbal communication, logical reasoning, quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. A candidate is required to give good results in all four sections to be considered for admission. There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks in case of a wrong answer.
