Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor says it is “unfortunate” that his upcoming film “Anjaana Anjaani” published on 24 September – the day the verdict in the 51-year-Babri Masjid Ramjanmabhoomi trial will be pronounced.
“Unfortunately, our film comes on the same date. The 27-year-old actress is hoping the matter peacefully.
I wish that the film would not have been released on 24 September, because the day we need to seek harmony in our country and live in peace, “Ranbir told reporters here.
‘Anjaana Anjaani “is a love story about two strangers who meet on a bridge while they are about to commit suicide and fall for each other. It has been directed by Siddharth Anand.
The state has already applied 35,000 paramilitary personnel for security duties from the central government.It is very unfortunate that a film released on a day like this where we should celebrate.
“The grace of the film is not in my hands.Ranbir who was promoting ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ with co-star Priyanka Chopra says that he would have postponed the film release, though it was in his hands.
As a citizen of our country, I want the energies of our hearts, mind and soul are (directed) against it. If I had my way, I would have postponed it. “Now Uttar Pradesh feared a repeat of the violence post-verdict, to be published by a special bench of the Allahabad High Court.
