Mumbai every year experience much rain this year too. But since last two days, the intensity much more that it rains non – stop. Areas like Dadar, Andheri, Malad, Ghatkopar and Vikhroli have stared with the problem of water logging, announced the Civic officials.

Heavy rain has been reported from the Indian cities of Mumbai, Goa and the Konkan region.The weather department in Mumbai said that a tropical cyclone has strengthened over the Arabian Sea off the west coast. The storm will hit Mumbai in the morning around 5:30 am in the morning.

According to the Indian meteorological department (IMD) CoLaba recorded 69.3 mm rain and Santa Cruz received 138.0 mm of rainfall from 8.30am yesterday to 8:30 am today.

The weather bureau forecast intermittent rain in parts of the city and suburbs and heavy rain and strong winds, strong in some areas over the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a less polished part of Bayani House building in the Masjid bound in South Mumbai gave in at 6:54am, “said local government officials, adding that no injuries werereported.

The Cyclone called Phyan was about 250 km west of Goa at 2:30am Thursday morning, given it an “orange” alert. It is a step below the red alert is given for a severe cyclone.

The cyclone is still 400 kms from the coast of Goa, but is said to move fast and dangerous, and for the next 36 hours are said to pose a significant threat to the western coast.


Phyan was 420 km south-southwest of Mumbai and 670 km south-southwest of Surat in southern Gujarat.People kind of fear when it rains incessantly in the city.
