Abhijeet Sawant, India’s first Indian Idol seems to be on the front of all the bad reasons, he was allegedly beaten at the Santa Cruz road with some people when two motorcycle riders were injured by his friend’s car. Singer Abhijeet Sawant and Prajukta Shukre with some other friends were on their way home from a night out and partying from a Juhu restaurant in two different vehicles on Tuesday night. As per reports, he and his friends to race, Sawant was the Audi and his friends were in the Honda City.
But the thought of racing on Daulat Nagar area of Santa Cruz showed terrible for them both, his friend in the Honda City broken into two men riding a motorcycle, injuring them badly. Some people came on the spot and Sawant came down from his car to save his friend, but in tiff, was beaten by the boiling crowd. They have been today sentenced to a fine of Rs 3000 for rash driving and got bail after that. Several reports in this case are not yet available.
Tohil Khan, aged 19, who driving the scooter and brother Taufiq Khan 14-year-old was seriously injured in the incident. According to police, were Abhijeet and Prajakta with some of his friends racing on the roads when Prajakta lost control of his car and wrecked scooter. People who had witnessed the incident had readily assembled on site and began to attack Abhijeet and his friends tried to calm the crowd. The singer was apparently taken into custody by police and was taken to Santa Cruz police station.
