Doodle 4 Google | Doodle 4 Google 2011

On Today I am happy to announce the launch of the fourth annual Doodle 4 Google competition. Open to K-12 students in the U.S., Doodle 4 Google is an opportunity of a lifetime: the design of the Google.com website Doodle for millions to see, and while you’re at it, take home a $ 15,000 scholarship and a $ 25,000 technology grant to your school. We are also pleased to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Girl Scouts in the United States, two organizations that really sets this year’s theme to life.

When registering students, and they do their art, Google employees and our panel of guests judges, including Whoopi Goldberg, gold ice skater Evan Lysacekand “Garfield” creator Jim Davis, will restrict submissions. The top 40 regional finalists will not only get a trip to New York City and a visit from Google in their hometown, but the picture will be featured in an exhibition in collaboration with the Whitney Museum of American Art.

The company is known for “Do no evil” does a good job in public relations arena. Brand loyalty is very important in today’s cut-throat business, and with a simple doodles competition, they help ensure that millions of children not only about the Google search engine, but have a positive impression of the company as a whole, all for a budget of under $ 2,000,000.
