HTC Flyer Unveiled in India – 3G version

HTC has officially launched its first Android-powered tablet, the Flyer, in India. HTC Flyer, of course, is one of the more interesting Android tablets with its 7-inch screen and capacitive stylus.

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has officially launched its first tablet device in the Indian market, for those unaware of this tablet called HTC flyers and have jumped into the market to compete with Samsung Galaxy Tab, RIM BlackBerry Playbook and Apple iPad second

Tablets running Android Gingerbread, and basically the only one who offers to come out this year from a large, familiar Android manufacturer not to run Android Honeycomb.

HTC have added their own Sense UI on Flyer, and although optimized for tablet use, but it remains to be seen whether people will consider the well-knowned.

HTC Flyer has a suggested retail price of Rs. 39 890 for the version with integrated 3G connectivity and 32 GB of internal storage. The price is pretty much in line with what HTC taxes Flyer or a lot. I really do not get HTC’s strategy here, but let’s wait and see if it works long term.

The competition has its unit priced very competitive, and independent of all of the latest smartphone launches from HTC, this device is not practical to 39,890 INR.

HTC Flyer has a 1.5 GHz processor, a 7-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touch screen, 1 GB of RAM, a 5 MP autofocus camera with rear 720p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP secondary front-on camera, 14, 4 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 4000 mAh battery.

The unit is expected to be available in the streets around 37,000 INR, the online retailer flip map shipping it to 37,500 INR, but the real question is – “If this Android tablet is worth the money?
